The Kalamazoo Central High School choir is raising money to purchase new microphones, with the goal of ten new mics in place for the 2024 fall musical production.

Why now?
Current musical productions depend on wireless microphones to allow performers to move across the stage, whether during a tender solo or a rousing dance number. The KCentral Choir is no different.
The choir currently has 8 microphones that were purchased in 2005 - nearly 20 years ago! Most of the microphones work beautifully, for now.
However, large ensemble musical numbers require more than the 8 that we own. Renting additional microphones is costly and often the rented microphones are unreliable. This creates challenges for our performers and our sound and technical crew.
An additional ten microphones would reduce rental costs, increase reliability, and ensure that we have enough microphones so the show can go on!
Concerts and musical productions are some of the most cherished parts of a KC Choir student's high school experience, and they will carry the confidence they gain from these experiences as they step into adulthood. With these microphones, they'll be sure to shine every time they step on stage!
